Penn State football has to figure out what to do at offensive tackle in the 2023 recruiting class.
Penn State football had a tough day on Monday with its top two offensive tackle targets committing to different schools.
Long-time target Evan Link committed to Michigan on Monday afternoon, while a newer target Stanton Ramil committed to Michigan State on Monday night. Both of the 4-star recruits took an official visit to Penn State back in June.
Penn State’s 2023 class overall is very good, but it lacks depth at offensive tackle. The Nittany Lions have three talented offensive line commits, but two of them are expected to be interior guys.
Anthony Donkoh is currently the only commit who projects as an offensive tackle in college.
Penn State definitely needs another tackle and could probably use two.
As we get later into the cycle, options become slimmer. Of the 31 offensive tackles Penn State offered in the 2023 cycle, 23 are currently committed to a school. Two of them are committed to Penn State, Donkoh and Jven Williams, but Williams projects as an inside guy at the next level.
This situation looks a bit dire, so we’re going to try to fix it. Here’s who Penn State can target at offensive tackle in this cycle.
