Ohio State’s 2022 fall camp schedule

It all begins this week. Ohio State is still just over a month from kicking off the team’s 2022 college football season, but the Buckeyes open fall camp on Thursday at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. From there, it’s working and preparing until the season-opening game on Saturday, Sept. 3 when Notre Dame comes to Ohio Stadium for what is expected to be a top-10 primetime matchup.

This week, the Scarlet and Gray released their practice schedule for fall camp. Beginning on Thursday, Ohio State will have 25 practices leading up to that opening contest against the Fighting Irish, taking place mostly on the weekdays (although there is one weekend practice that is likely to be one of the Buckeyes’ scrimmages at Ohio Stadium).

The Scarlet and Gray will practice at 9:30 am each morning until the first day of Ohio State classes on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Practices will then move to 4:30 pm ET for the remaining nine fall camp practices.

In order to live up to these expectations, the offense must play at least as well as it did a year ago, when it was ranked tops in the country, and the defense must make drastic improvements from last season. The work to get to where this team wants to go begins in these 25 practices starting on Thursday morning.
